Model T Driving School

Take the Wheel!

You are going to love learning about the life and times of a "Tin Lizzie."

This one-day class is chocked full of history, stories, maintenance, and yep, you guessed it, DRIVING!

It is not every day that you get the chance to go back in time and get hands-on experience in operating an old car. Take the class for this rare opportunity or give it as a gift to a friend. After you've learned a bit about what made the Model T unique you get to drive the car and truly feel the differences in how it handles compared to modern day vehicles. This hands on experience enables you to truly appreciate the early movers and shakers who took a chance and bought a car and set out to stitch the country together as they explored America and made work just a little bit easier. You've never had this much fun driving an old car.

Driving Through the Decades

Rev the Engine!

Take a spin through yesteryear by getting behind the wheel of an era's autos. The 30s, 40s, and 50s now combined into one great class!

This one-day class is packed with history, stories, maintenance, and yep, you guessed it, DRIVING!

This class gets you behind the wheel of not one, but eight or more of the classic vehicles from WAAAM's vast collection to drive on your very own. You will feel automotive history come alive right in your hands as you pilot several of our restored treasures. Most people have to buy the car of their dreams just to get to drive it for the first time - instead you only need to sign up for this class!

WAAAM Camp

An Introduction to Aviation for Kids

Learn and have fun at the WAAAM Air & Auto Museum as we explore early aviation and what it takes to keep an airplane in the air.

Students will be surrounded by airplanes, pilots, cars, and knowledge in this 4 day camp!

Building a glider to fly teaches aerodynamics. Talking over the airwaves like a bonafide pilot using FAA procedures is public speaking on a whole different plain! We will tour the Restoration Shop and put our hands and skills to work on a project that will be displayed in the museum for years to come! And so much more too – a bit of cockpit time & a ride in an old Model T auto for instance!!!

As an added bonus participants will earn a "Student Solo Membership" to the museum that will allow the participant admission to WAAAM for the rest of the year for free.

Who: Ages 7-12.

WAAAM Camp Car-Style

An Introduction to Automobiles for Kids

Let the good times roll at the WAAAM Air & Auto Museum as we explore early automobiles and learn all about keeping this history alive with this hands on class for kids.

Students will be surrounded by vintage automobiles, mechanics, airplanes and knowledge in this 4 day camp!

Learn STEM geared critical thinking. Learning basic automotive safety and repair work improves your life skills. We will even get our hands on some projects from the Restoration Shop and put our hands and skills to work on a project that will be displayed in the museum for years to come! And so much more too - rides in the old autos in the collection and even explore the cockpit of some of the museum's early aircraft.

As an added bonus participants will earn a "Student Solo Membership" to the museum that will allow the participant admission to WAAAM for the rest of the year for free.
